Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series became very popular when it added satellite connectivity. The Huawei Mate 60 already has this feature, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will have it soon. The Vivo X100 series will also offer satellite connectivity.
Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Honor, and Huawei are talking to China Telecom about connecting mobile phones directly to satellites. This means that not only Huawei but other Chinese brands may also use satellite connectivity in their future devices. Satellite technology is important for people in remote areas or during emergencies, as it allows smartphones to work without cellular or WiFi coverage.
